Well, we finally made it. Got to Amsterdam after 19 hours of traveling between Florida and here. My partner is sleeping so I thought I would post a little update while I smoke a fat J of Jack H. and kill some time.

To start the Apartment is GREAT! We did have to wait until 12:30 to check in (originally scheduled for 9:30), but that was ok, since our plane was about 30 minutes late anyways. We killed time in the first coffeshop of the day - Pink Floyd. The budtender - a really cool guy made us feel right at home, eventhough we were lugging all of our luggage with us. I bought 2 grams of NYCD. (8.50 a g, I think) and a gram of the Rifman Noor (13 a gram). So far, the NYCD is my fave smoke of the trip (haven`t smoke a lot yet though). Its got a fun uppy high.

Once we finally got into the apartment, we showered up and checked it out. Its much MUCH better then we expected. Its HUGE! I`ll have pics up eventually.

Off we went from there to Popeye, where there was this crazy indian music playing. We got 2 grams of Jack H. and a gram of Moroccan Cream (don`t remember prices right now). We hung out upstairs, and had a good time watching a group of kids (19, they got their ID`s checked) who obviously didn`t know much about smoking, act like fools. From here, we walked around a bit, and ended up by the Grey Area. It was crammed packed (no suprise), so we just bought a gram of Chocolope, and a gram of kif.

Well, my break time is up! Sure is convienent to have a pc in the apartment!

More to come!

Looking forward to hearing more... which apartment are you staying in? I'm looking for an apt for August :D

Smoke one for us!

LOL Chefgirl, NYCD and JH are 2 of my faves as well, JH mostly for night. A good sativa I like is Willie Nelson from Barney's (since the Annunaki at Grey Area is gone now bummer).

Amnesia Haze is usually good but the menus change. Amnesia had some good Red Diesel last month, quite impressive. Wasn't too impressed with the Honey B there.

Buy White Shark from Rokerij only when you want to go to sleep lol

Looking forward to reading the rest of your report.

Nice. Its always a bonus when the accomodation is good. Have any changes happened at Pink Floyd? Is it more Dampkringy? Glad your having a good trip :D

Another update from the Dam....

Hey hey all! Its a beautiful morning here in the Dam. The sun is out, and right outside our front window you can see everyone setting up their stands for the maket (Bio food market on Noodermarket).

To address more on the apartment (because its so great) it is apt nmber 01511. You walk in and go through a little hallway into the dining room-living room area. Its got very high celings, and a NICE flatscreen TV with DVD player. Once you walk into the apartment more, you walk into the kitchen, which has a nice gas stovetop, and a decent sized fridge. If you walk out the back, you can go into the PRIVATE garden and hang out. Or, you can head downstairs to the bedroom. The bedroom has a queen sized bed (a HUGE suprise), and its own stand alone shower with totally rocking water pressure. Or from the kitchen you can head upstairs into what I call the `midget room`, which is where the computer is. There is just enough room here for me to stand up, with no room between me and the celing (I am 5`0 btw). Its a really cool area to chill out in. I will have TONS of pictures here within a few days that I will be loading up onto a site to show you all.

So more coffeeshop info....last night my partner ended up sleeping for a few hours, so I wandered out into the city alone. I went into the Rokerij on Singel, and bought 2 grams of Laughing Buddah (11 e a g). I didn`t stay, because it was packed full of loud kids, and that wasn`t a vibe I was feeling. So from there I wandered around in some headshops on Haarlmerstraat, and ended up in Pink Floyd again. Different budtender, but still a very nice guy. So far, this is my fave shop of the trip. Its really chill and really comfortable, and the people there have been nothing but fantastic. As far as changes, the only think that says Dampkring is the menu and the lighters in the vending machine. Last night I ended up in the back room upstairs (all to myself by the window), and rolled up a spliff of Laughing Buddah. Out of everything we have smoked so far, this is the strongest (not the best flavor overall though).

I came back to the apartment, and woke up my partner. We hung out at the apartment in the garden for awhile, snacking on things we bought at the AH down the road, and smoking up. But around 10:30pm we were close to running out of gear, so we decided to head out. We walked about 3 minutes down the road, used the ATM, and headed into coffeeshop Spirit. This place is WAY bigger then it looks, going back into an area with an air hockey table, video games, 2 pool tables, and a fooseball table. I bought 5 grams of WW for 32 euro (a fantastic tasting smoke btw), and my partner bought 5 grams of zero-zero for 20 euro. The zero-zero is te best hash we have smoked so far. It makes us giggle like little kids!!

Well, we are out to the food market and to explore more of the city today! Will report again soon!

Go to the Dolphins! White Dolphin! Hmmmm

Glad its nice weather for someone for a change in Dam. I usually get about 1 day of 'hot sunny weather' (remember I am British, so anything about 16C is consider 'hot' :P) for about every 3 normal rainy days. Hopefully the 28th-31st will be nice days :D

Hey again all!

This post is becoming more of a way to remember everything I did on my trip. A public journal of sorts....

Anyways, whew! What a day! And its not even over yet. I`ve warn my partner out with all the walking, and he is napping, while I post and smoke a bowl of King Hassan bought at Pink Floyd (8.50 a g). We had quite the day of walking and smoking. We started out walking through the market here on Noordermaarkt, and stopping at this little bakery we found down the street with just fantastic stuff for breakfast. Then we headed to Pink Floyd, where I bought the King Hassan and 2 more grams of the NYCD. We got some toasties and hung out in the back downstairs. This is becoming my favorite shop...the vibe there is so cool, and the people who work there are VERY nice.

After this we decided to go ahead and do some shopping at the AH. We went in and guessed as best we could about most stuff (how the hell do you say tomato sauce in dutch?), and stopped home to drop off the groceries.

From there we headed to the Rokerij on Singel, and got a gram of the Rokerij Haze (9 e a g), and 2 grams of the Nepal Cream (8 e a g). We sat here and smoked the Haze. It seemed dry to me when I broke it up, but I was suprised that it packed a bit of a punch.

From here we headed on over to 420 (De Kuil). We got 2 grams of the Blueberry (7.50 e a g), and threw some of it in the volcano there. I tell you what, we`ve smoked a lot so far, but nothing has gotten me as high as this weed. Once we got home later in the day, we wanted to see if it was just the vapo, or if the weed was really that great, so we smoked a joint. I will tell you in my honest opinion - its the weed.

After getting uber high, we left 420, and headed on down Damrak to Dam Square. It was PACKED! There were so many people out, I would assume because the weather is amazing right now. We wandered up through some of the shopping area, headed back towards the apartment. We were just sort of weaving in and out of streets, and we managed to find the RooR store. Wow - what awesome pieces (but too expensive for my budget). From there we crashed into Abraxas - It was packed (and much smaller now - didn`t it used to have 3 floors?), so it was just a buy and go (Juicy Fruit and Apple Jack - didn`t note the prices).

And now we are here - we ate some lunch and I am just enjoying the weather and this awesome apartment....

More to come soon!

I'm a bit of a disco-snoozer myself right enough, any chance for 40 winks and I'm in about it like a dog eating chips ;-)
