Check Greenhouse Tolstraat for a Diesel variant - the last two trips it was killer, even slightly better than Nes, although the Nes Diesel is first rate.

The Diesel from Greenhouse over NYE was some of the best weed I ever smoked.

fwiw, happy hunting......

Check Utopia, a little shop opposite Homegrown...Stopped in there for a quicky to avoid the rain and had some Sage and Sour Deisel. Personally I'm totally sickened of the Deisel flavour but the sage softened the edge of the deisel, with a nice high to boot.

When i was in Dam we got some Diesel from Bushdocters.

On here i've read about NYC diesel and sour diesel.. Are they all different, or just picking up different names?

you can get some Soma NYC Diesel, and some Diesel strains from Canada. But the Sour Diesel is different if it is the from Rezivour seeds, That strain is from the East Coast of the US (E.C.S.D.), but the guy only had one clone so no seeds could become of that so he crossed it with a Soma NYC Diesel male, and he now back crosses the strain, so each crop gets more pure. The SD in the pic on the first page is real E.C.S.D.

Seems there is another variation of Diesel doing the rounds....Harlem Diesel, a visit to Abraxas maybe in order.

I pasted the report into this thread, hope thats ok (?)... just means you have one less click to do... anything to make life easier... It sure sounds nice:

Purchased: Abraxas - June - 2006

Origin: Not sure of the background of this; the Abraxas crew were too busy serving up you lot to have time to explain the details to AB-SG. We know that this is NOT grown in Haarlem, but rather it is a different term for NYC Diesel. I should note that this weed is AWESOME cos it is so different than most Diesels out there: It’s not “diesely” meaning it is not petrol gasoline-flavoured. What’s left you ask? The citrus!

Look: These buds are big, fat and hairy (could ANYTHING besides weed sound attractive with that description!?!!) Tiny little wiry hairs are found among broad leaves, (at least compared to most diesels), with some dark & lighter leaves. It’s all heavily crystal covered. These buds are “springy” to the touch and are just perfectly cured. The under-sides of the little ball shaped calyxes are very fuzzy, and golden-yellow. This stuff has “spider legs” – fuzzy little critters. GORGEOUS; your computer screen does not do it justice!

Smell: The scent is better than you’d imagine the freshest NYC Diesel smelling, with more of a grapefrruity-citrus versus the chemical-fuel scent you find with NYCD. More fruity than the normal. Its definitely a sugary-fruity scent. There is really no hint of chemical/fuel. When this stuff is burned it smells like Sativa. Most people would be thinking you're smoking a haze...

Taste: The taste leans to the indica side, considering it’s fruity-sweet-sugarTHC flav. The taste is quite soft and easy to inhale if you really think about how many THC crystals are being torched as you light a bowl. We had a lovely Chardonnay that paralleled the citrus-woody flav this smoke was giving off.

Effects: This has your head bouncing around the inside of an empty beer barrel! You feel like you are awake, alert, aggro, alive, affected, ass-out, oh shit… you can tell how high I am can ya??? Yes, this makes you feel really silly. Happy-silly. I recommend this for all my bad-drunk friends who we often wish would have had a joint in place of the 3 double vodka-red bulls!

Overall: I am not quite sure what makes this “Harlem” Diesel? (except for that it prolly originally did come from Harlem and NY Diesel was just the adopted term.) Anyway, this weed coulda been grown in Haarlem and just called Harlem, who knows I love it.

So whats in a name?
Curious that this was the best of the best imho early this month when I was in A'dam. It is exactly as described in the above post EXCEPT that it was named NYCD and I purchased it at Barneys and I believe 2eKamer.It was the fruitiest toke I ever had(and Ive had many many).Smelled like red grapfruit and the smoke tasted like it as well.I suppose that someone said'hey lets rename this' and so...

Grey Area had some of the best quality buds when I was there in May. The Grey Diesel though wasn't my thing. I prefered their Martian Mean Green. Not to say the Diesel was bad (think that would be impossible in Grey Area), but it wasn't to my taste is all. Very strong on the Deisel taste and not so much anywhere near to a Sour.
