only recently learned that the original "man from u.n.c.l.e." ('64-'68)
robert vaughn passed away, on nov. 11, 2016; at age 83.

and only recently learned he was a force against the vietnam war.

he went from schlock/exploitation/b-film impresario roger corman's Teenage Caveman (1958)...
...to an oscar-nominated performance in The Young Philadelphians (1959)...
...before becoming one of The Magnificent Seven (1960)...

Napoleon Solo (NS name sourced from ian fleming)...
began re-viewing these old shows again for the first time since the 60s,
thanks to the local library. it's like watching vinyl.
later, he'd re-join both roger corman, and the seven samurai/
magnificent seven storyline, in Battle Beyond the Stars (1980)...
one of the early star wars knock-offs
latter years gave him an 8-season stretch on the BBC's Hu$tle (2004-12)
(a supposed influence on state-side's Leverage)...
