the last time i was there - 2004 - there was a great bar called (i think) cafe de pup. you could smoke and drink there, in fact it was almost compulsory as the tender kept passing out joints. a really fun guy who never stopped moving, played a lot of stickleback i seem to remember.

hope it's still there.

they have a few reviews on it.
I'll have to check it out , we don't have any "ice bars" in Texas. 8)

A very clever chappy he was too... everybody has their time though, in that particular game. He's also a very funny chappy too, I saw him do a talk a few years back and he's quite witty.

Yep...both great reads, esp if you're travelling alone...I always make a point of reading Fear and Loathing by Hunter S Thompson cover to cover once I find a comfy coffeeshop
