Thoughts on grinder usage

Post by SoulJa »

Yo yo yo!
Guys, I've my grinder lost, so I have a reasonable question. Can I use a coffee grinder for my purposes? I'm afraid that it'll chop my weed to powder. Any experienced? my grinder

I think a pair of small scissors would be better. Cutting your cannabis into smaller pieces, then breaking it up with your fingers.

Agreed with AzLaker, scissors are a tried and true method, you can combine with a smaller glass or something like that to contain the nug while chopping away or go the slower route and cut a bit off at a time... Besides likely turning your weed into dust, using a coffee grinder will very like lead to taste transfer (both ways), and if your weed is good a horribly sticky grinder which combined with ground coffee... Well, you probably get the idea...

Yeap, scissors is a proven method :D I used them yesterday. I just wanted to try something new, everything is so routine, you know. So you deem this is a bad idea?

If you buy a coffee grinder but only use it for weed then there’s no issue with taste transfer. I had one for this specific purpose about 18 years ago, but I only used it when preparing weed for cooking/canna butter, because as CC says it does tend to produce very fine powder. For smoking/vaping scissors or a metal grinder (fuck using plastic ones, they eventually go brittle and tiny bits end up in your grind).

btw, how do you cook anything with weed? I'm just interested in your recipe because I am experienced rather in smoking than in cooking. All chiefs are welcome :D I'm recording.
