Old man new iPad questions about TRRS jack

Got a iPad at the beginning of the shutdown, looking into hooking my mic mixer to the iPad using the headphone jack, the question is, does the adaptor jack that they recommend change the stereo single to mono? From what I understand the Tip Ring Ring Shank connector on the iPad is for Right Left speaker and mic, That’s only one audio in, am I missing something?
The goal is socially distancing live music on the Facebook and/or YouTube

If your looking to connect a output from a mixer into your iPad with glorious stereo something from the above page may suffice, the mic input on the iPad will not be a very good quality.

That is the problem, mics are mono, and all the products that convert the signals are stereo and I can’t figure out what the “Rode SC4 adaptor” does internally
Planning on running my TouchMix into a “clean Box Pro balanced to unbalanced converter box” then using a “Rode SC4” to connect it to the iPad
Wasn’t my original plan to try and stream shows, but in these times you have to adapt. The area where I live is about to go “yellow” with that standing we could put bands in the gallery and use the Facebook to broadcast it.
Yellow allows business to open to less than 20 people and no touching
Thanks for taking the time to help

hi willjay ... you might need to bear in mind that your line level will need converting down for the ipad to cope .... the set up you have mentioned there with the desk and the DI should work but maybe substitute the DI and sc4 and just run a pair of RCA to TRS from the two rec out -10db sockets on the desk and then get a Headset Buddy cable (
https://www.headsetbuddy.com/line-level ... artphones/) to go from the TRS and then into the ipad.

You’ve got me there, they would be 2 mic level channels wouldn’t they?
My experience is more live than studio...

This is the page I set up to live stream the Listening Room, a small venue I do sound for once a month. It’s on the last Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm eastern time.
The nonprofit
www.ExchangeArts.org has agreed to pay the performers to play in a closed set Streaming on Facebook. I think I have all the bugs worked out, tune in if you can and let me know what you think.

I'm a bit late to this party but do you have a laptop/pc/mac as well as the ipad?
The next step up may be to start using a program called OBS studios.
Let me know if you would like any further information if you are not already aware of it.
