As we're on my own webspace now there's no need to ration attachment space so it's possible to add them again.
Like this:
Attachments
Re: Attachments
I probably should have done this ages ago.
The forum software introduced the attachments feature a long time ago. Initially we enabled it and people used it a lot. In those days the forums were squatting on Slimline's server and he became concerned about the space that all these pictures were taking up.
The configuration allows the total space used by attachments to be limited so when that limit was reached the feature became unusable. In view of Slimline's concerns I never raised the limit.
Following Slimline's death we squatted on FBN's and then HullDJ's servers. Not wanting to exploit their generosity, I didn't increase the limit so the feature remained unusable.
Now we have our own space I can increase the limit guilt free.
So, the upshot is, it's now much easier to include pictures in your posts.
Without the attachments feature you had to host your pictures on an external photos site and then link them into your posts. Now you can put them on my server space via a simple interface.
To use the feature
When you're typing your post, scroll down and you should see a tab called 'Attachments'. There you can add pictures and tap 'Place inline' to insert them into your text.
It's also possible to simply drag pictures into text.

Re: Attachments
Finally, I can add some pictures.
So here’s a picture of my girls at 4 weeks
Dos Si Dos #33 on the left & BlueBerry Hill on the right. From "Herbies Seeds."
Thanks Lemming.
