Looking for variety...

Post by JayK »

I got an email today from a friend who's going to be in mokum for a couple of days next week and they're looking for some advice.

Basically, they want to try and get a taste of the whole spectrum of different smokes but without buying too many strains. They suggested that they're looking to buy around 5 or 6 weed strains and 3 or 4 hash.

What would you guys suggest for maximum variety of effects and taste?

Off the top of my head:

Temple Ball, Haze, Diesel, White Widow, Laughing Buddha.

Cheers geoff,

Diesel is a definite, as is temple ball. The others I was thinking are blueberry, white widow, super silver haze (or from recent reports the amazing haze) and some kind of really couch locky indica, any ideas?

I'm not really into hash so which would you guys suggest for a good selection
of tastes and effects?

The only hashes I like consistently are Temple Ball and Lebanese Blonde. People speak highly of Gunpowder from Stix or the Maroc from Grey Area.

I'd like to try the Amazing Haze as well. I listed haze as a generall though, because I'd also like to try the Mako Haze from Kiwi Seeds (Dampkring) or the Hawaiian Haze (Greenhouse Centrum). I've heard excellent things about those two. I've tried the Hash Meets Haze from Greenhouse Centrum. It was good, but not outstanding.

I'm a very big fan of Kali Mist. I think it's a hybrid of outdoor sativas. The strain I tried from Bluebird was quite a trippy-mind fuck kinda high. Not outta my head though.

If you know where your friend is staying you might be able to pick out some shops close by. That's usually been my plan of attack. I pick a couple close by where I'm staying for morning and nite. Then mid day I venture out and see what I find on my wanderings.

I've heard the Matanuska from Grey Area is good for "couch-lock". The Laughing Buddha is supposed to be good for this as well (Rokerij). Soma seeds has a Lavender that he claims is very relaxing.

Oldschool: Jamaica/Thai (is cheap as well with 3-4€/gr.)
Best tastes: Diesel/Blueberry/Bubblegum (or the Orange Haze)
Best high: Diesel/White Widow

The Gunpowder from Stix is not really a hash. It's kif or kief. The crystals that come off of the plant material. It's very strong like hash but it is in the pre-pressed stage. Some excellent stuff! Stix and Gray Area are the only shops, that I am aware of, that sell kief. Peace.
