Nice site for maps and info(useful info)

This is not spam. I found this site Planetware.com while surfing and it has a lot of different maps and nice walking tours laid out not only for Amsterdam, but Haarlem(going to take this walking tour for sure) and tons of other city's. With descriptions of stops along the way that I have not found with other sites. It looks like you probably can get info on most any world city. Its a nice site :D

I haven't tried that, but has anyone tried any walking tour podcasts? I'm looking for an Amsterdam tour.

I've used this before and its pretty good, means you can do all the tourist stuff at your own pace without looking like a tourist!

Edit : Just noticed the price has gone up quite a bit since I DL'd it... probably still worth it, especially as you can just DL it once and share it with other people.

I really enjoyed it, the commentary was really informative but occassionally cheesy. We spent a whole afternoon doing the tour, taking occasional detours for a drink or smoke and it was great, I definitely got to see a few bits and pieces that I'd never of known about if it wasn't for the tour. Plus it really helped me with getting to know my way around the centre.
