@Occasional Bowl, I checked the website, and they predict busy days Saturday & Sunday, the 20th and 21st
Shouldn't be too hard to get tickets. Prices online run, 36 euros for a Bus from Amsterdam, down to 31 euros from a bus from Leiden. Something we should seriously discuss when we're all together and see if that's in the cards for 1/2 day trip. :)

@AzLaker, are we planning the boat trip for the 20th?
I know Samantha is still interested in the flower gardens excursion.

Yes, the boat tour is on the 20th.
I'm still up for the gardens, if we can work out a day & time. We can discuss it over a few beers and smokes, who wants to go and when. :)

Hello...the excitement I can see is building..I went last year to the Keurkehof park and it's very worth it. I got up early and was at the front of the line as it opened and went left instead of right and had the park to myself for about 30 minutes. As I made it to the other side it was 1000s of people everywhere and 100s waiting to get in.

I'm looking forward to the boat trip because this will be my 8th trip and always wanted to do a smoking canal tour. Because of that I want to do donate 100e upfront to help the costs and everyone else plan to adjust your costs accordingly. I'll give whoever books it for us cash at the first shop we meet in.

I'm doing a month long tour of Europe before we get to Amsterdam on the 17th so that will be a great finale.

I like the sound of your tour around Europe with the finale in Amsterdam 8)

That's very generous of you buddy with your 100e donation towards the boat, very good of you  8) hopefully it will be an excellent sailing for us all. I am also looking forward to it very much and heated seats is a luxury 8)

As for the garden trip, if you guys want or need to schedule that before I arrive in town then please do so as I don't arrive until the 19th

Buddha Boat last year

@AzLaker - In 2019 we did a 2-hour cruise starting at 7pm. We started in bright sunshine, sailed through sunset and finished with lights on the bridges. So, for a 70 minute cruise, 8pm might be best for sunset and lights.
@docgonzo42 - Generous offer! Thanks.

I'll add wine & cheese to schedule on 18th for those interested. If you have preferred times for Keukenhof and model village I'll add those too. I think Igraine and me might skip those but we're definitely up for the boat.

How about we pencil that in for 19th lunchtime then? Greet Ghost in and maybe start a crawl there?

Igraine fancies the seaside if we can fit it in.

We're officially invited to The Stud :D Discussing times. Considering 4/20 day, either before 420 or after, before boat. Or even after boat. Too hectic? Better on another day?

@docgonzo42, I'm the one heading up the boat trip this year. Thanks for your offer of donating $100 euros to the cause, much appreciated. Still haven't booked it yet, just waiting to see who wants to fill the last 1-3 spots. I'll give another few
days before I pull the trigger and make reservations.
We've got two times we're looking at....7:30pm or 8:00pm. What would you prefer?
Thanks again doc for helping out.

Excellent stuff!
So, how should we schedule these things?
Limiting factors include people arriving and leaving at different times and, for Igraine and me, being rubbish at getting up in the morning.
Best days for popular events look like being 19th, 20th and 21st when most of us are around. Personally, I've always struggled with events before about 1 or 2pm.

Ideal for me would be to do Stud and Ballonnetje around 2pm on 19th and 21st respectively and then reorganise other events around those but I'm open to suggestions.

What are everyone's priorities? Which events would you be disappointed to miss and which are you less bothered about?

I notice that some of you who say you're coming haven't commented on proposed events yet so it would be great to hear from you.

Also, anyone else gonna come and join us? Be great to see you if you can make it.

The Stud on the 19th at 2pm is ok with me. I should get in to town around 11am on that day obviously I will be out and about during the day but I will need to check in to my Hotel when they allow me which is just off Dam Square at around that time(I will try and check in earlier). So if it could be a little later say 3pm 'ish' that would allow me to check in and jump on the tram down to the Stud which is around half hr ride :?: I may head up to the rum barrel after that session for a few drinks/tapas if anyone is interested :?: it is about a 10 min walk from the Stud if you going to come please say as I will need to book a table for the amount of people, it's Friday night so it will be busy

I am happy for the T'n'T at the Spirit to be scheduled around the special sessions, what ever fits and works for everyone else  Those 2 special sessions will make another great 420 week, well done @Lemming  :D  8) roll up 420 :D It's all looking Good :D

First off, thanks again Lemming for the invites to The Stud & H.B, well done as usual. :D
So those 2 are set in stone, date wise. @Ghost, I'm up to visit the Rum barrel afterwards for a drink & something to eat.
I'll be hungry by then.

The boat ride is still a go. Just waiting to see who wants to join us. I'd like to fill the boat with just ACD'ers, so I'll give it a week, then I'll make the reservations. 4/20 from 8:00 to 9:10pm :D

Another thought would be to combine the two for the 22nd. If we hit up just DNA & DeKade like planned, which was scheduled for noon, we should be good. I don't think we'll be there more than 2-21/2 hours tops. Grab the tram, and head over to The Spirit around 2:00pm. and keep the party going.
Just a thought. :)

About the gardens. It would be nice if we could gather up 4-5 people to go. It's does take up a least a 1/2 a day, so that might be tough to squeeze in, with all the other activities that going on during those dates. I guess will have to discuss that with everyone when we're town together.

There have been a few changes to the tram routes.

Last year we used tram 24 to get to DNA/De Kade but that now starts at Frederiksplein rather than Centraal Station. Alternatives include changing trams somewhere or catching the metro to Station Zuid. Also at Station Zuid is tram 5, which stops at Marnixplein, the closest stop to Spirit, so combining DNA/De Kade and Spirit might make a good plan.

Tram 14 now loops around past Muiderpoort. It still stops on Insulindeweg near The Stud. Just on the opposite side of Molukkenstraat to before. Bus 40 goes from there to right outside Stud, if that looks quicker than walking.

From the same place as tram 14 runs tram 3, which goes to places like the Pijp and the Republiek/Catch 33 area, should we fancy a crawl around one of those.

From Rum Barrel, bus 65 connects to right outside The Stud. As tram 14 stops there too, we could go there on the way out or the way back.

Too many choices?!

More? OK. Terps Army 2 is on lines 1, 7 and 19, which all run from Weesperplein, near Ballonnetje, so we could do TA2 after Balloon.
Incidentally, metro to Weesperplein is an alternative to the usual tram 14 to get to Balloon from centre.

You working for the Dutch public transport company   makes a lot of sense thanks for that :D I agree with @AzLaker and yourself that combining The Spirit with DNA and DeKade makes perfect sense and would be a nice little crawl for us, I wouldn't mind stopping by Catch33 to have a look at their menu while we are around that part of town  maybe go there before The Spirit :?: and then head to the Spirit for a session :?:

The Rum Barrel only opens at 5pm so that would be best after the Stud session, if the session was from 3/4pm and we are there for a couple of hrs then say 5.30/6pm at the Barrel :?: We will need a head count on the Rum place as I will need to book a table for everyone that wants to come along as normally it is quite busy especially if there is a group of us. So anyone who is attending the Stud session and then wants to come up the Rum Barrel after for a few drinks/tapas needs to say here so I can book a table for us all. At the moment I have 3 people and I am taking it that yourself and Igraine will come along :?: which would make us a 5 so far, anyone else please say here  @Lemming can you put on the schedule next to the rum barrel that we need a head count so a table can be booked

Terps Army 2 combined with The Balloon session makes sense and maybe we could stroll along to Funky Munky as well after and pop in to Sound Garden to quench our thirst:?:

Looks like we are starting to get a little picture of what could be happening during the week, it is all taking shape nicely :D 8)

what are everyone's who is attending thoughts on all this :?: (can't seem to get the text back to normal   sorry)
