It looks like most agree that Wilma and Albert's in Haarlem have the best steak around. And for ribs try Coco's Outback, they have all you can eat and also you can smoke to your hearts content in there also. Go to cocosoutback.com and you can see the full menu and its a funny site also.

The Nacht Wacht a couple of doors down from Coco's on the corner of Rembrantplein do lekker ribs. They're marinated in cola I think, this means when you pick up a rib...the meat falls off the bone. For about 20 euro ya get a double rack with a large baked spud and salad. 8)

its not the formal steak but fuck it was one of the best meat dishes i have tasted in amsterdam...

its from cafe roux.. which is in the Sofitel Grand Hotel.... It was called scotish beef or something.. it was pretty much just a very tender filet that was coooked perfectly and tasted amazing... the restaurant overall is one the best i have been to.. expensive, but damn that shit was tastey.. my girl who is a vegetarian also loved this place.. some nice home made pastas and a wonderful selection of veggies.... i couldnt recommend it more... anyway, if u have some coin to drop.. check this place out.

The best filet Steak I have ever consumed was surprisingly at the restaurant at the top of Grasshopper (on the 3rd floor) - it was very tasty although expensive. Dont know if it was the herb effecting me, however that was in 2005 I think

Yes it was think it was 35 euros or somthing like that, proper melt in the mouth, think we justified it by it being the only meal we ate during the whole weekend - except for tasty tasty Danish Pastries, Hot Chocolate and a disgusting microwaved English Breakfast from a place on the Damrak - the only time I have had a fried egg that has been reheated in a Microwave, Sausages that were really cheap Hot-Dogs and Bacon that looked a bit like those Bacon flavoured crisps that Smith used to make in the UK Frazles or somthing like that.
