Especially for tourists, the GVB (public transportation) has published 2 podcasts. These podcasts talk about public transport in Amsterdam in general and about tramline 5.
Tramline 5 will take you to almost all of Amsterdam's major must see (or do, for that matter) landmarks. With this podcast you will know what to do... and in some cases, what not to do. Tramline 5 goes right through the center of the city and comes across various important tourist attractions. It starts at Central Station and passes Dam Square, Leidseplein, Museumplein and much more. The podcast about this tramline comments on what you see from this tram.
