Loose plans include a hash crawl towards the West (Bronx/Spirit/Massawa/Kashmir), a jaunt on the Smokeboat, a trek around NDSM/Noord CS's, and a day trip to Haarlem. After a long hiatus, I'm starting to get that kid-at-Christmas feeling

Flying out on Halloween (after 5 years away)
Heading over for 5 days at the end of October/start of November with the Mrs in tow. Staying near Vondelpark, so Leidseplein will be home base on this trip.

Re: Flying out on Halloween (after 5 years away)
5years away and then 5 days in town sounds fantastic buddy - have a blast
when we were over for 420 we went on the Buddha Lounge Boat and it is worth a look if you want a choice of boats to choose from, you get a couple of drinks with you ticket, heated seats and a hr sailing worth a look
A day trip to Haarlem is always good with a good choice of shops to choose from - Birdy is my fav and I do not mind Empire either
Good Times Buddy

Thanks AZLaker, do you know where they set off from? Is it necessary to book or can you just show up at the dock? Cheers!AzLaker wrote: Mon 19th Aug 2024 09:42 pm Looks like you got a really nice plan going there Smokeybee21![]()

Buddha Boat is up next to Centraal Station.
I may be in town 2nd/3rd November. Hopefully going to see the second part of The Analogues at the Ziggo Dome.
Could maybe meet up for a smoke if I make it into town.

I booked ahead of time, that's because we had 12 folks going and I wanted to make sure we had plenty of seats available for our 420 tour. talkrum wanted to join us for the cruise but I thought they were sold out according to their website. A few people didn't show up, so he was allowed to join us. Check their website, it will show you if anyone has purchased tickets for a specified time that you guys want to go. If they have some open slots, just stroll over to their boat and ask if you & the misses can join in on the fun. The captain and her first mate were super nice when we asked if talkrum could join us,
so, there shouldn't be a problem finding a couple of seats for a SMOKE tour.
Good luck.

Fingers crossed. Also if you like The Beatles then I'd highly recommend going to The Analogues gig on 2/11.Smokeybee21 wrote: Tue 20th Aug 2024 01:51 pmSure thing, let me know if you make it over.jollylittlehun wrote: Tue 20th Aug 2024 09:09 am Buddha Boat is up next to Centraal Station.

Re: Flying out on Halloween (after 5 years away)
Sounds like a fantastic trip you have planned there.
I love me a western crawl - would also recommend Flashback and Ruthless for hash and La Kalada/Catch 33 usually have some interesting filtered products. Of course if you make it to C33 then Chapiteau is only a couple of streets away and is great for stocking up on cheap, clean bud.
I haven't been North in nearly 20 years! It was a bit of an industrial wasteland back then, looks pretty cool these days though.
Have a tip-top time mate!!

Thanks for the tips fella! Had the nicest traditional Moroccan I've ever tried from Massawa in 2016ish and heard good things about Bronx from locals. Definitely wanna check out La Kalada as I never went there even before the takeover, looking like we could kill a day just out West at this rateHitTheNorth wrote: Sat 24th Aug 2024 08:59 am Sounds like a fantastic trip you have planned there.

Walked past Bronx a few times last week, be very interested to hear how you get on there. I keep wanting to give t'ketelje a try as well - even if just for it's unique wooden decorSmokeybee21 wrote: Sun 25th Aug 2024 01:22 amThanks for the tips fella!
