Man it's been a while but I'm back...

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've posted or been on the forum properly. I hope everyone is well. I knocked the smoke on the head six or seven years ago due to a lot of reasons but mainly life getting in the way.
My eldest son turns 21 at the beginning of December, he's turned into a fine young man. I'm going to bring him to Amsterdam from November 21st to 23rd as a surprise. He's partial to the odd smoke and has been over a few times with his friends already. So I thought I'd start gearing up for the trip by heading back down the the Acd forum memory lane.

This place has given me some great laughs and helped me meet some cool people over the years. I haven't been to Amsterdam since 2016 so I'm guessing the coffeshop scene has moved with the times and changed a lot.

Hi mate.

Things have changed quite a lot from 6 years ago. The 'cali' market has exploded. A big chunk of coffeeshops have changed ownership or taken over by younger family. Lots of renovations, some nice and some that have just ripped the soul out of the old places. Smoking bans in the RLD area means lots of bars you could smoke in dont allow anymore.

But the place is still magical, you can still find good quality reasonably priced weed and have a great time.

Thanks jollylittlehun. Going to have a few smokes for the first time in years to acclimatise before heading over. Ain't no way I could whitey in front of my son and not expect to be slagged off by him for the rest of my days on this earth .

Biggest change since 2016 is the costs lol the cost getting there, costs of staying there then the cost of being there in 2016 me and the Mrs paid £300 for flights and hotel, last night, I paid £290 just for our flights !!
