The Ghorka and Otta are outstanding hashes , I'm slowly working my way through the hash menu last trip tried the Parvatti Pollen , and Melana Cream and they're not as good as the former

Bluebird is one of the best places for hash! along with rusland & arabica lounge,,, Used to really like the hash selection at the rockerij chain before they closed down of course.

Last time here the guy whit long hair freak out of the guy infront of me (was funny) guy asked the Budtender to see 4 diffrent things..when he came out from the back the client wanted to open and smell each bag budtender was like that 72euro! WTF r ya going? client replied i wanna see and smell b4 buying tender told him to get the f..out!! i was next told the bud too bad no more PK ill take what he was gonna have!! guy was super friendly other guy working or standing invited in the smokeroom to puff on some PK when i asked where it came from he replied Good ya?ey! i repled ya good in my lungs would be better in my7 pocket for later and asked again? whit out a reply

Called in here last week and had Otta(12,5/0,8g). Pleasant smoke. Unfortunately Ghorka was sold out.

Coffeeshop Bluebird has good border hash.
And good wi-fi.
They have toilets western style like in some bars.

Got back from 'dam yesterday. As per usual i went to the Bluebird for the hash. Wanted to try the Ghorka which wasnt on the menu anymore. So bought the Otta instead. Very nice smoke. Was a real smooth smoke and got me nicely stoned.

So the guy in front of you in the line got thown out for asking to smell and see the bud then you joked with the budtender and shared a smoke with him of the PK which you liked.
You would have liked to have some of your own but they were sold out.

Walking into Bluebird in May gave me a real sense of deja vu, it turns out I had visited once before back on my first visit to fairest Amsterdam. I had no idea what to expect for that first visit, but luckily one of my friends had done his research and got us to the blue bird. I can not remember as far back as 2002 so I think it's only fair to comment on this years visit.

After meeting up with the boys for a morning blaze we decided to head across the Nieuwmarkt and on to the Artis Zoo, it was a hot day for walking so was relived when one of the group saw the blue bird and suggested a quick refreshment break. So I grab a coke and a water and take a look through the menu book, what a good idea this is, though I found that there was so much good hash I could not select.

I knew that I wanted a black hash so I asked the bud tender for her recommendation, which looked good me so I handed over my hard earned 12:50 and headed for my friends in the smoking room. I eagerly sat down to roll my spliff, when I looked at the amount in my hand I was under the belief that they had ripped me off as I was blatantly not a local. Subsequently I have noted on the Menus Website that a lot of the strains and hashes are not sold as grams but in 12:50 bags, so I guess mine was probably about 0.8 of a gram; I was really relived about this, it laid my mind to rest about the Blue Bird.

The Hash itself was of real fine quality a lovely oilly shiny black color and an equisit smoke to say the least so I soon forgot my anger, once I got into rolling it between my fingers. It had a rich flavour and the unmistakable smoke produced by fine Handrub Hash, plus a very prolonged stone, I was toasted for the whole zoo visit. This hash was the real deal. I just wish I had asked the name now so I can go back when i am there next week. I am thinking that the Budtender knows her product the best and I can always ask her again.

The coffeeshop itself was really busy, from where I sat I could see across the corridor at the top of the stairs to where they serve the weed from, for the whole time we were sat there a que was constant, leading to the top of the stairs and presumably a few steps down too. Most people were just popping in to pick up, but nearly all the smoking tables were full. We had a nice little encounter with a local who did not have a lighter, he borrowed two of ours but neither worked, he was a relived man when we produced a third.

Now that I have got over the disappointing size of my gram (well 0.8g) I can say that I truly enjoyed my time in this shop, and combined with my Hazey memories of being there ten years previously I would give this coffeeshop a 4.5/5. Keep up the good work

The quality of quite a few CS's were down from what I'd expect this time, sadly Bluebird was one of them.

Went in there, and there was something new on the menu that seemed quite interesting, couldn't remember the name - but when I asked about it was told that some people found it a little harsh, so smelt the bag - and it was like freshly cut grass. So went for the JAH instead - quite tasty, but nothing special.

Otta - was no way as gooey/sticky/oily as when I was out there last - tasted the same, but with a little less kick, didn't go back for seconds this time though. Hope it gets better soon, as is one lovely smoke normally.

Couldn't fault the place or the staff and will always go back here
