tenaka,
I know that we are not as bad as it is said, we are not mafia pizza mandolino, not all of us at least! But I know as well that people have prejudice, and they look upon a large group of us as they were looking at trouble. I hate prejudice, let's be clear! :) As a matter of fact we've been treated rudely or not friendly in many places...

Kingdoc,
glad to hear you've met good people from my land. Hope to meet you someday, to prove one more time that not every Italian is a Berlusconi! ;)

dampring 2; out of stock

Post by michoacan »

Stopped by in November. I always come in at least once every trip, buy and fly. They were out of green crack and several other weed types and the two strongest waterworks (40 and 60e/gram). I bought 3 grams of various types of weed. They were good , not great. Budtender was a bit standoffish.

That's a shame , don't be afraid to try other coffeeshops though! It's easier if you post your review in the specific thread https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewt ... p?f=5&t=40 I'm guessing you didn't see it, Please feel free to give us more reviews as we're always on the look out for Amsterdam updates :)

I liked there bud and the atmosphere was really good I thought, only thing I didn't like was those damn cork stools on the top floor, they hurt like hell after a while. There lemon larry was some of the best smoke I've ever had

I like that they have a nice price range going from budget to splurge, and even the budget stuff is usually decent. I come here often for the 7,5e or 8e or whatever it is Laughing Buddha - still one of my favorite weeds in Amsterdam.

Got the Ginger Ale on my last trip and used one of the house RooRs (free with deposit of ID). Knocked me on my ass completely even though I smoke with a RooR daily back at home (granted I don't smoke the quantity I did here back at home simply for financial reasons). Haven't tripped that hard since I started smoking about 5 years ago, brought me back to when I would still fade in and out of reality after smoking.

Only bong I got to use on this trip, I won't smoke those crappy bongs the other coffeeshops have as I'm a bit repulsed by them. When I asked to use the RooR at 420 Cafe and the lady pulled out a dirty rubber grommet/metal bowl bong which looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in days.

Cool coffee shop. Nice atmosphere and funky theme. Bought some morrocan hash which was the best hash I smoked all week. And a gram of L.A. Lady which was a nice sweet smoke. Bang on bud tenders who obviously enjoy working there. 8/10

hey dudes,
Been in the dam for the last 4 and half weeks,Have been in a good few of the shops sampleing all the differant price ranges of weed.from purple haze from 1 CS 12.50 for 3grams,dont buy because as the price suggests it is dirt.the only reason i bought was because i got some really good p haze on a trip in 2007 and i hadent tried it since, the same day i also bought some budda tahhoe and the the pineapple 1 out of Green Place. Both were fairly pricey and i wasnt mad about the flavour of either of them.So i mixed the p haze, budda and pineapple and packed it into a joint,a strange but nice taste and major couch lock,
Anyway the moral of the story is that i went into dampkring 2 tonight looking for some laughing Budda,to my disappointment they were all out so the the bud tender stuck a box of i think it was called Bad Evil(very stoned),please correct me if im wrong on the name,i know im close.so i took 2grms at 8.50p/grm and 1grm of trainwreck 11p/grm. 2 of the best bits of bud my whole trip.
Unfortunately the good times are coming to an end for me as im flying home Saturday
but i wil be back hopefully in the summer, either for work or holiday.
4 of my favourites for the trip; "Bad Evil" (Dampkring 2 E8.50p/grm)Super Skunk (Rockit E10p/grm) White Widow (solo 5grms E44) Trainwreck (Dampkring 2 E11p/grm).
Make the Dampkring 2 a must visit on your trip.Another must is Solo, really quiet in the day times, good tunes, budtender seems sound ,free wifi, hidden away just slightly off the beaten track. Of all the coffee shops i have spent hours in smokin doobs its Solo you wil notice the steady flow of locals calling in for takeaway, has to be a good sign and the white widow and super skunk i purchased there there were both top quality.
My apologies for rambling on,just my opinion.

I went to the Dampkring on Haarlemmerstraat with 3 friends. We went in just to have a joint and a coffee, but I ended up buying some Lemon Haze & Nepal Cream hash. I can't remember prices or weights as I smoked a shed load that week, but I did note down all coffee shops and what bought in where. Well like I said, we intended on just using the area and getting a coffee, but I ended up buying weed & hash, and my friends collectively bought Grapefruit Haze, Amnesia, MasterKush, Big Buddha Cheese & G13 Amnesia. The guy with the tied back blonde hair rapping along with the music that served us was cool. He was very helpful with recommendations for smoke, and he was full of info on all the products. We sat upstairs, and it was very comfortably laid out, with the leather seats around the walls. The lights were dimmed and colourful, creating a very hazy ambiance which i have to say was perfect for the smoking and relaxing. The music was good, a bit of hip-hop, but each to there own I suppose. The people already in the lounge up stairs looked like couples and a group of friends enjoying a coffee and joint. There was a Jamaican guy down stairs with a motorbike helmet I remember speaking to. He was very nice and full of tips for trying weeds.

Anyway, after all the smoking was done, we made our way out, and said our good byes. At the end of the street I searched for my mobile in my pocket, but couldn't find it. In a panic, I ran back to Dampkring. I bolted inside in a blind panic, said something like "Left...Phone...Up" and ran up stairs. It wasn't up the stairs, so I told the blonde guy about it & he leaped up the stairs and and came back a couple minutes later. He said that no one saw it or seen anyone go near they seats. He said he would go check the CCTV downstairs, so I waited. It was about 5mins of waiting before my friend tried to call it, but he said it just dies. I instantly thought that's was anyone would do if they find a phone, & i just charged it so it couldn't of died by battery. What made it worse was I did electronic check-in with KLM. So check-in, seat picking and boarding passes all happened on my phone! While all this is running through my head my friend rings it again, & I feel my belt vibrate! It was in my hoody pocket under my big coat with loads of pockets. I checked everywhere except my hoody under my coat! Twat! So panic over and me feeling like a complete twat, I told the waitress and someone told the blonde guy. He came up and was all relieved and happy that I found it. I apologised for being a twat and gave him 5Euros for being so helpful with my stupid episode.

So, as for Dampkring, I would say the selection was excellent, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect. Perfect for sitting, wasting away half a day. Keep up the good work. I will be definitely revisiting next trip. Highly recommended!!! 10/10 :D :D :D

one of the best things about the dampkring 2, is waiting for the tv screens to start showing the more....morbid clips, then watching your friends puzzled faces as they dont believe what they are seeing
