P+R parking: 5 free public transport tickets until end of the year

Amsterdam has 4 so-called P+R (park and ride) locations, parking places outside the centre, where you can park your car for E 5.50 per 24 hours.
Normally, if you park your car on one of these locations, you get a maximum of 2 public transport tickets to go the centre of Amsterdam and back.
Starting Sunday September 23 (this day is car-free Sunday in Amsterdam), you will get a maximum of 5 free public transport tickets. This is a test, which will run until the end of the year. With the test, Amsterdam hopes to promote that visiting groups and families park their cars in the outskirts and not in the centre of Amsterdam.
On the Amsterdam parking website you can find more information (the test period is not mentioned on the English language pages).
