For my next trip to the Dam I was planning to organise my accomodation and flights seperatley, to try and save money, whereas i booked them all in one last time.
Does anyone know which is the chepaest airline to get flights to Amsterdam from the UK??
I have been looking at hotels at www.bookings.nl and they do have some great prices, anyone here used this website and had positive results??

Seeing that your in Birmingham I'd guess the www.bmibaby.com is the cheapest for you, although I find www.easyjet.co.uk cheaper as a rule but I have to travel and park the car so car parking fee's come into it as well as cost of fuel!

I used bookings.nl for our upcoming trip in Heiloo. Staying at the Golden Tulips. Four star hotel, for 95 euros a night. Very easy, and when I called to confirm, the lady on the phone was very nice and pleasant. Leaving in 1 week (YES!!). Will give a update daily, or when I return home, (might be to bussed for a daily) AzLaker

If you can fly from Manchester then the cheapest are www.jet2.com they have 3 flights a day.
The cheapest hotel booking site I have found is http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/ne ... amsterdam/ Iv'e used them 3 times now in Amsterdam, first rate, cheaper than many online bookings. Don't be put off by the name HOSTELbookers, they also do plenty of hotels.

jet2 are great, Iv'e used them many times and never had a problem with delays or bookings. 50 min flight from Manchester.

As mentioned already, I guess it depends on where in the UK you plan to fly from.

I have recently found out that www.thomsonfly.com do cheap flights from Bournemouth, and it would cost me less to get to the airport than the original 70 mile drive to Gatwick - damn I shouldn't think so much but it's hard not to be pre-planning a couple of days sometime early next year!!!

I'll be flying through Jet2 as im travelling from Sheffield to Manchester. Not bad prices really with Jet2, ive payed £35 for one way.

Got 2 return tickets booked for me and the mrs in Jan,with BMI baby for £127...spot on

I have got return to Amsterdam for 80 over new year from bmibaby. I just typed "cheap flights to Amsterdam" in to google and you can find sites to compare loads of stuff.

I have used Hostelbookers this time anmd the rates were great!!!

I must admit I've never paid over £40 rtn with EasyJet, I think my flights for xmas are £30!

I've had all good results using bookings.com. A lot of times they get you a great rate unavailable elsewhere, invariably better than booking direct thru the hotel itself (figure that one out). And they can book rooms all over Europe, some places not as wide a selection as Amsterdam, but they've got Holland covered, Paris too for that matter.

For the off season, I've had some good luck using British Airways travel getting upscale rooms in chains for bargain prices due to free nites promos not available elsewhere. And they always include free breakfast, whereas it's not an included feature at these properties, or using bookings.com

Another good outfit that covers Amsterdam and all of Europe is venere.com. They led the way with a good section of no-holds-barred reviews for each property, and bookings.com just recently started offering the same feature.
