Limited weekend train service to Utrecht

UTRECHT – Train travel to, from and via Utrecht Central will be halted for several hours on the weekend of 3 and 4 November. Extensive work on the rails is scheduled in the Utrecht region this weekend. Buses will be deployed to transport travellers.
The rail hub in the centre of the country will be out of operation from 9 pm on Saturday evening until 5 am Sunday morning. Train service between Utrecht and Gouda will be suspended for the entire weekend: from 1.40 am Saturday morning until 5 am Monday morning.
ProRail will be adding another track between Utrecht and Woerden on the weekend. The new rails will be connected to the existing rail network. Work will also be done on the overhead cabling and security systems.
