Free bus rides to back up wage demands
Bus drivers will offer free rides as a public-friendly attempt to push for higher wages.

THE NETHERLANDS - Dutch bus drivers have announced they will hold a public-friendly action to back up their wage demands.
On Queen's Day, Ascension Day and Whitsun, travellers in large areas of the country will be able to travel for free. The action does not apply to the major cities.
The bus drivers want a four-percent pay rise, but collective labour agreement talks stalled when the public transport companies said they could not afford it.
If the actions do not achieve the desired effect, the bus drivers will go on strike.
