Forum Restructure

Post by Lemming »

Lost your post? Sorry, but I felt the forum had outgrown its original structure.

Hope you like the new look.

I was trying to achieve two things. Firstly, the Off-Topic section contained many threads that were actually on topic but lacked a good home. I'm slowly moving them to new categories.

Secondly, I wanted to emphasise the strictness of the four specific sections where I try to enforce rules over subject matter as opposed to the general sections where anything goes.

I agree with Mazdog, the site's been evolving since day 1 so thanks for the effort you put into it Lemming!

I love this site. Some of the nicest people on the web, and such a prime set-up and chock full of info. This is one of those places that when you see it you say to yourself, "Now why didn't I think of that?" Keep it up.
50 characters? Nothing to say in 50 characters.

Liking the new layout Lemming - like others said, this site is full of cool people and helpful (and interesting) information, so it's a pleasure to still be part of this forum...who would have thought it would come so far in a fairly short time?

Nice work Lemming :!:

Just added another sub-category to the General section and moved the last few on-topic threads from the Off Topic section.
I'll stop messing about and moving everything now

I couldn't agree more...I live close enough to the Netherlands to take short trips there and I can't even begin to tell you how much this site has helped me to enjoy my visits. The least I can do in gratitude is to book my hotel rooms through this site and to share a few reviews of my own. :D

It’s over a year since the last restructure so it seemed like time for another one. Nothing too drastic this time, just created a couple of new sections and shuffled a few around a bit. Some of these were changes suggested by member Lafe.

Great job. Have been coming to the review for years and was glad when you added the forum., ( my first, by the way  ) Have had my problems here with some people, whose names we won't mention, but it has been a learning experience so I guess I can even thanks you for that
Keep up the good work

Just wanted to say thank you for the time and effort that you obviously have gone through to set up this forum...really a little gem for information and good people to talk to.
