travelling to drachten in august

any chance someone can give me some advice on a decent 'shop' enroute to drachten from schipol will be in a car and with the clan, so need to be handy parking and a decent 'shop' as will be on one of the islands for a week then back to the dam for one day,many a lost time spent in holland,and now looking to make the stay permenant

This site may help . Not sure if you'll take the Afsluitdyke route or swing thru Apeldoorn and up ... There are a couple shops in Drachten .

thanks for that just needed to get supplies as going drachten then over to ameland and couldnt see ameland having any shops,cheers

As a trucker you may find Drachten an interesting stop ...Its the town where they've been experimenting with zero traffic signs ...

cheers,that is one of the many reasons to be travilling and moving there,as safety is paramount,and if people can live without lights and just a bit of common courtesy then thats the place for me!
