The argeement aims to speed up passport checks and is the first of its kind between the US and a foreign airport.
THE NETHERLANDS - The Netherlands and the United States have signed an agreement intended to speed up passport checks for air passengers.
Gert Versluis, interim director of the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, signed the document on behalf of the Dutch government during a ceremony at New York's John F Kennedy airport on Monday.
Faster passport checks are already in place at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport and will work alongside a new US system. Schiphol is the first foreign airport with which the US authorities are collaborating in this way.
