KLM ditches traditional air tickets
Friday 30 May 2008
KLM is to replace printed tickets with electronic ones from June 1 on all flights, the airline said on Friday.
Some 99% of passengers already use e-tickets, which are more efficient, safer and environment-friendly, KLM said. If all airlines switched to e-tickets it would save them €2bn a year and 50,000 trees, news agency ANP reported.

In thinking, how true. I always do for Easyjet flights, but never seem to get asked for it\them. Just for our backup\reminder I guess. That and proof that we booked and vilidate our flights anyways just in case you get into 1 of those disputed flight booking situations lol. Which thankfully I never have...yet!.NirvanaEJ wrote:dont you still have to print the E-ticket at home to bring with you? trees still being wasted?

I print an itinerary or two for people here at home in case but I usually go to the airport and just check-in and have never encountered a problem.NirvanaEJ wrote:yeah id never go to the airport without my ticket printed, one tiny glitch and you can be stuck for days or hours without proof.
