Best hybrid in the Dam?

Post by sliderd »

We spend a fair bit of time on the best sativa and occassionally the best indica, but what is the best hybrid with both the mind high and body stone?

The blue cheese from bluebird kinda had that kinda feel to it, but mind you that it was mixed in with a shit load of other smoke, so not sure that is excatly what you are looking 4, although I would really like to sample one of those meself, so if I run into one in the weekend I will let U know... ;)

Background why I ask...

For me, all day of sativa just makes me too energetic and I want to walk the whole damn city (just ask DC hah!).

Sour D from Grey Area has always been a bit more comfortable as an afternoon smoke. The Super Silver Haze seems to be a nice fit with 420 Cafe having a strong suggestion.

Recommendations and recent research welcome!

I can relate to that. The SSH from Mellow Yellow was an excellent Hybrid. I thought it was the best of both worlds. It was also the best cured smoke I found. The smell was sweet at first and then a little skunk. The flavor came through very nicely in a joint. The Sour D from Rokerij was a nice combo as well but not as much Sativa as the SSH.

you really think so? For me the SSH from mellow yellow was just mind-blowing, one of the strongest things I have smoked, seemed like one of the best Sativas to me, I didnt had the feeling that it was a hybrid. Diesel is a very good one as you guys already mentioned. Santa Maria is a nice hybrid as well

Forgive my ignorance but aren't the majority of the strains hybrids? I thought 100% sativas or indicas are about as rare as rocking horse shit.

True, but if you smoke the haze-hybrids you wont feel much of the other strain crossed into it, but more of the haze-high. He wants some strains that give you both a body-stone and a mind-high.....

True that, to all the three prior posts... ;)

I've seen the SSH listed as 50/50, but I am pretty sure, from the description the OP gives, that shady is right on the money, and I will look exactly for that in less than 24 hours :D

Super Silver Haze had the up of a sativa, but I didn't feel the racy feeling I feel from Cindy99 or Kali Mist for example. Those strains are much more sativa dominant. SSH even had a slightly skunky smell to it. It was strong for sure, but I felt it took the best effects of sativa (up high) and indica (relaxing). It made me feel pretty unstoppable. I'd love to smoke this stuff and go snowboarding. I also smoked some Silver Haze, and it wasn't nearly as strong, but I did notice the lack of an indica feeling. It was quite up, but not as relaxed feeling.

You'll find some pure Indicas in the Dam, but I've never, ever seen pure sativa. Honestly, it wouldn't be worth it to grow and sell.

I thought the Black Widow from Katsu took more of the mental aspect of sativas (slightly trippy) as well as more of a stoniness from the indica. While this weed was quite strong, it didn't last nearly as long as the SSH. Honestly, the high wasn't my favorite either. Strong, but just not my type of buzz.

At home, I smoke White Russian (White Widow x AK-47). This weed is pretty potent, and you'll notice a slight stoniness, but what really does it is the AK-47 in the WR, which hits you very fast. I prefer this weed for sports, so I know how high I'm gonna be after I take a couple of hits. Then the effects won't creep up on me half way down my run on the ski mountain for example, or while I'm dodging trees on my mountain bike.

I should correct myself. I meant the AK-47 crossed in the White Russian.
