I've heard that if you are found by customs to be bringing a small amount of weed back from Amsterdam to the UK, that there is only an on the spot fine as you could have legitamitely just forgot about a little blim in your pocket.

I heard you would only recieve a fine with anything below 10 grams.

Does anyone know if this is true or is it just an urban legend?

In my experience small amounts are just confiscated and you end up on a list which will make future trips out/in the country a pain in the arse.

I know quite a few people who have been caught, none of which ended in charges.

Make sure its wrapped nice and tight and either in luggage or on your person. Luggage is the risky option as customs tend to send dogs along the luggage track instead of the arrival lounge. But if you travel from the same airport and have never seen a sniffer in previous trips all will be fine.
They wont be bothered what your taking out the country its the country your taking it too that will be bothered most!
In the UK they are likely to be looking for bombs so you should be okay!

Just thought i would say that i have no worrys about being banged up myself or whatever happens to myself for bringing stuff back. I have had many a run in with the police in the UK over the last 20 years for my love of the Ganj and expect many more.
Please dont copy me thinking its easy coz its not! It takes alot of gutts to strole through an international airport knowing you are carrying some dutch soveneirs whilst scanning round for a scruffy bollock sniffing copper with his dog.
I cant be held responsible for your actions

Yea last time i brought a spliffs worth of ketma gold back in my suitcase but that was nothing.
Probably going to bring a couple of grams back next time. Its nice to bring some souvieners back, usually the weed back here doesnt compare to the amsterdam shit.. Good to make your friends jealous by sparking a huge joint of some stinky amsterdam weed.
Suppose if i bottle it could make a quick trip to the toilet to flush it :(

I think it's all been said before that it really depends on how well you keep your nerve and if you look guilty going through the various customs checks, more so if you have it on your person lol. Getting frisked once going home got me feeling guilty as I was a little wrecked to recall if I'd used the last of my gear before getting to the airport. Mind you I must have stank a little of the herb as I'd smoked a good several joints in the clothes I'd put on to fly home in on the last day.

But I still loose my nerve and look quilty when tempted to nick the Pick N Mix from Woolies and spot the security guy and have to walk past him to get out while munching on the wine gums or midget gems I just shoved in my gob!!!.
