I've always thought the only people who would miss tobacco in joints are those who smoke cigarettes or otherwise have become addicted to tobacco through the cultural habit of mixed joints. This thread only surprises me because some people actually enjoy the new tobacco substitute, and now find themselves repulsed by tobacco. I thought most people would just go pure, and maybe they still will.

As for the hash question, try using a bed of weed instead of a bed of tobacco. It works just as well. Weed, hash, weed, roll. If that sounds like you're overdoing it, try using smaller papers than those king-sized wraps available in coffeeshops.

Coffeeshops might even become introduced to the roach clip through this ban.

This isn't Chicken Little. The sky isn't falling. If this is the line-in-the-sand issue for a handful of folks, and what drives them away from the C/S scene, then I'll just have more space to move about.

For the vast majority, it won't be.

I think it was GeoffK who wrote, on another thread, that he never has seen an indoor smoking ban repealed in the U.S. That was astute. Taking that thought a step further, there never even has been a credible effort at repealing a smoking ban. Nor will there be. It would an incredible waste of effort against an overwhelming majority, and the money spent on it might as well be run through a shredder.

Give it a couple years, and not only will the majority shudder at the old days, and have absolutely no desire to return to them, but smokers who disobey the ban will find themselves publicly ostracized at best, and talking to the magistrate at worst.

Most will just smoke outside.
