Hey there,

I have a quick question concerning donations. I'm sorry if it's already covered somewhere, but I didn't find anything.

Is there a way to make anonymous donations, such as by sending cash or using a service like UKash. If anonymous donations are possible, I'd donate (a small amount) right away, but with donations via PayPal it would probably take a looong time for me to get comfortable with the idea of donating to the site.

don't worry it goes to Slimline's account not to ACD or Coffeeshop Directory.

Well, to be honest, that's not really reassuring, since I have no idea who Slimline actually is. Not that I have any particular reason to distrust him but this is the internet, after all.

I would like to suggest that staff take a look at UKash. I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to link to their site, so I won't, but you just need to google it, or type it in as a URL with the TLD .com. I'm not sure how expensive it is to set up an account that allows you to receive UKash payments, but unless it is really expensive, I think it would be a good idea to open one for this site.

Slimline is the only reason this forum exist. I would suggest you have a read through this thread. And feel free to email and try to arrange an alternative, his email is under the smiling coin on the upper right corner. And UKash looks rather shady to be honest.

If others here are willing to donate via PayPal, that's great, but I'm not. This does not mean that I lack respect or appreciation for Slimline's work, and I think the fact that I'm willing to donate attests to that. But you may be right that I should discuss this with him via PM. I just didn't think that I'd be the first one to ask this question, so I thought I could use the open forum to discuss it.

As for UKash, I have used it before, and it worked flawlessly. If there is a different company that provides the same type of service, i.e. anonymous internet payments, I'd be happy to use that one, I just mentioned UKash because it's the only one that I know of and that I have used.

My understanding of Ukash is that it is a anonymous way of sending money. However, it can be tricky for the ''seller'' to exchange the code for the cash. The best and easiest way to do so is to open a online betting account. This way you can put the Ukash money into the betting account and take it out straight away by putting it in your bank account. IMHO it does seem a bit unnecessary and hassle for slimeline who is providing the service.

Will try and make a donation soon slime line.

Many thanks for that large donation from Canada. All donations large or small are used to support the server.

Once again thanks
