I think he is sincere but I don't think he will do it.

Mexico is terrible right now with rival drug lords fighting over territory. More dead than Iraq so thats really bad. Prohibition has a high cost.

I think it would be wise for Mexico to legalize.

As far as Cali, we are working hard to get the laws inline with the majority opinion.

There is no way this is going to happen*. The YANKS would go apeshit!

When Canada was going to decriminalise grass (up to about 30 grams worth would get, at most, a fine), under Chretien's reign, the Yanks went apeshit. The US government and DEA really started to pressure the Canadian government in a BIG way.

Shortly after that the Canadian government allowed the DEA to raid Marc Emery's seed shop. (Sure, it was "Canadian" cops in balaclavas and the whole nine yards. , SURE!! ...He had openly operated his business for years and listed that on his tax forms...no problem. BUT, then Walters targets him as public enemy number one...BINGO..huge police raid. AND no Canadian charges from the raid???)

HE has NOT been charged with breaking any Canadian laws, but the DEA want him extradited because, to them, he is public enemy number one. Scary stuff.

The US does NOT fuck around when it comes to legalisation. (Especially, in it's neighboring countries.)

*Unless the Yanks legalise it, first. (Don't hold your breath,...unless you've just taken a huge bong hit.... :D )
