Tiesto is to DJing what WWF is to wrestling. A whole lot of flashy lights and glitter with not a lot of substance underneath. He might well be...a nice guy....but music wise it's cheesy anthem to cheesy anthem, where 2 minutes breakdowns become the norm. Considering yer average track is 7 to 9 minutes long, having 4 minutes of breakdown split in two with a minute or so of kickdrum action inbetween....doesn't give that much time left over to actually mix with......unless yer playing all of every track, which yeah....is deffinately top class work. Just for the record  ....making tunes aint that hard either, Especially if it's aimed at the stilton massive. He deffinately deserves the number one hits and appearances on TMF and MTV cos that's where all the good DJs are.....all this Tiesto talk has made me hungry, think I'll go get a Big Mac....that's good food. right!?! Of course, numerous live recordings of his 'DJ sets' can be found to disprove this....feel free to point me in their direction.

If it makes people happy I say: dance your ass off. I suppose I could analyze DJs, but I'd rather analyze weed :) I've seen plenty of DJs and plenty of bands, I'll take a good band over a great DJ any day, but I like to get my dance on once in a while.

Well, I didn't say anything about the quality of the booking you'll get...but from your quote, that sounds just about right for Hull.

Back on topic, My GF went to see Tiesto last year at the Alexandra Palace in London and said the show was fantastic.
