Just wondering about this. Is this paid when you enter or exit? Or both? And what if you fly into Schiphol more than once? Do you get hit every time by this tax? Im coming from Toronto...assuming i'll get hit with the 45euro which is more than $55CAD...any takers?

I hate airport tax!! especially since our prick government doubled it 'to protect the enviroment'
Are people seriously going to give up nipping over to spain or somewhere for their hols because the tax has gone up to about £30? no their not, so it's not to protect the enviroment, it's to line their coffers under the guise of having concerns about enviromental impact. I saw a £400 return flight to Delhi recently, when it gave me the breakdown £180 was tax!! You work hard, pay your income tax, get hit with VAT on most things, get fleeced on fuel, pay your exhorbitant council tax, your tv licence (tax) & when you want to go and relax they batter you with tax for leaving the stupid country.

yeah someone is....you don't see them in power working a normal life when they leave power do you?....strange how they go from "the peoples man" to the jet set rather quickly on the tax payers money....taxation today doesnt help run things...it just lines pockets

It's like politicians truly resent people having any disposable income, they just have to claw as much of it as possible from us.
They make me sick with some of the garbage they force on us

remember that it's an enviro tax...while the world leaders and entourage jet around the world and drive around in gas-guzzlers....couldn't they watch the olympics on tv like the rest of us? fuck state banquets...give them macdonalds or if possible worse

That's true, they dont need to stay in 5 star hotels and have fancy banquets with more caviar than you can shake a stick at. They should be able to discuss policy just as well in travel lodge eating some chips & fish fingers. Seems like everyone but them and their rich crony friends need to cut back

That's a good question...we booked these tickets with martin air in the springtime, i think there was snow on the ground still. I'll get this info off my buddy who bokked the flights. I was figuring i'd have to pay it when i got there if it wasnt included in my tricket...OR it was something like dominican republic. Where you need to pay to leave the country in cash, or you dont leave.

Would have thought they cant charge you now as you booked so early but still would like to know the answer for that one.
Thanks

Well my tax has been included in my ticket prices, but that's coming from England. Whether it's different for someone coming from Canada or the states, i dont know. I would have thought the tax would be included but obviously it's best to make sure.
