Snack bar dispenses mobile phones

Customers of snackbar chain Febo will from today be able to buy prepaid mobile phones as well as traditional junk food from vending machines at a branch in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost.

The sales campaign comes from cut-price telephone company Telfort and runs until 17 October. The phones, with €15 worth of phone time, will cost €10 each.

Weed and Febo maybe? Haaa. That is cool. I think the Dutch version on the teletext this morning said they would be trying this around the Arena to start.

Have you stuck a pipe in a febo slot for a photo op? Good stuff and great for fooling the friends back home.

Did you know that FEBO stands for Ferdinand Bol? A famous artist from Holland that had a street(at the end of the Albert Cuyp Markt) named after him that some guy started a wall of food on, which became FEBO. Thats what I know about it.

are the fones re-usable? rechargeable?....or do you need a returnable deposit? i'm interested.....

yes, yes, no. There are many deals like these in town. You can buy a sim card for your unlocked phone for 5E. I have a couple extras.

if the febofones are 10 euro and they have 15euro credit....thats a good deal right? so where's the catch? aprt from that i'd be tempted to get one for the week in holland.....as vodaphone seems to eat credit when i travel to holland
