Interesting comments....on my Feb trip, I hit the ssh from dk as my first smoke and I got ultra para! Had to leave mid joint and go back to the hotel haha. Had not smoked for six weeks so it prob hit me harder than ever.

When I lived in oz, I had a brilliant connect. Some if the finest indica I've ever had the pleasure of. This was about eight years ago though...could also get excellent oils too.

Have a great trip, was over again a few weeks ago and recommend the lavender from hunters, best weed I had for that trip.

Ps - the lavender will get you proper stoned rather than high. Nice bedtime smoke, but I'm a fiend for strong indica so it might not be the bud for you if youre into the hazes.

Interesting post, I too am a big fan of SSH myself.

The best Super Silver Haze can be found at Hunters.

Try it for yourself and you will see.

I have looked hard for another excellent SSH. It does not exist from my experience.

Just some of the places I have tried:

- Mello Yello (wasn't very strong, looks wispy and stringy, no tight nugs)
- Rookies (stronger than Mello Yello)
- Rokerij (stronger than the above two and a steal at €8/g, nugs aren't mega tight though)

And let me tell you, I live here. So this is not just a snapshot from a single visit but based on multiple tries in each place. Remember that in most places, one batch of weed one week can be different to the next in terms of quality and strength. This is quite common and is one reason why there are so many variable reviews of the same weed.

But still, none of them are as good as Hunters SSH IMO.

Now if somebody knows a good SSH, I'd love to know. I've been recommended from the Mello Yello before but I did not rate it. It really was nothing special.

About a year ago I was getting the most incredible SSH from Siberie. It was a shimmering yellow/golden colour, absolutely gorgeous. Good one for smoking all day, I just couldn't get tired of that fruity sweetness! This experience has cemented SSH as one of my alltime faves. Its one of the few strains that I can instantly recognise the taste/smell, at least when its a good example.

SSH was off the menu at Siberie for a while. They do have it again now, but I got some about a month ago and they were not the same shimmering golden buds as before Still a great smoke, but wasn't quite the standout.

But if you're in the area, its worth a stop into Siberie to have a look at their SSH. If the buds look really yellow, do give it a try.

In April the best weed DeKuil (420) had was SSH. Only place I even bought it as the other coffeeshops didn't have the smell DeKuil's did.

I would recommend the S5 Haze from Mellow Yellow. For me, the high is amazingly clear, like you're totally buzzed on the inside, but you can still funtion and act normal. I remember smoking a few bowls of this at Mellow Yellow, then riding a bike, felt totally sharp and alert

In general, look for sativa dominant strains. I'm sure others will make some good suggestions for clear/up highs.

I was so happy to read this. S5 Haze from Mellow Yellow is on my list. It's only around the corner from where I'm staying too, so I really should get down there tomorrow morning for wake and bake.

I have been getting mainly Sativa strains, but my mate bought the Indica mix from Rokerij and I picked up a gram of the Bas Special from Basjoe's today (what is the Bas Special anyway? Is it just the best weed of the time at Basjoes, or is it a specific strain? James said it was Indica). So I will be trying some Indicas while I'm here too, which is what I think most of the weed in Australia is, so it will be interesting to compare them.

the most flavourful and always the juiciest buds of ssh are to find in the 420 cafe. the ssh from hunters is really strong indeed with a powerful but less zesty and juicy taste.

I am also curious to compare the two. I know the Hunters SSH well. How much per gram is the 420 SSH?

Yeah, I have to agree. I've been twice in the last year, and both times we bought more SSH from 420 than any other type of bud. Even brought a 5g bag back both times, couldn't get enough of the stuff!

So I bought some a few days ago and it was very nice indeed. Very crystally buds, fairly tight nugs.

12.50 a gram. Good stuff but I like to budget a bit more these days so will keep looking for a solid new smoke for around 10 Euro/gram.

Speaking of which, the Amnesia from Erste Hulp at 9 Euro/gram is excellent.

I would recommend Club Media's SS Haze(10 Euro),last their in May and still annoyed i didn't get more,nicely cured,great taste,great fx,nice quiet shop to blaze in too,only locals and never too busy,one of my best smokes of the trip

I tried this strain for the first time in a while this week and I was happy to be back!

The high is very clear and sociable, a great party strain, gives a strong out-going, almost drunken buzz.

Was lucky to get a very good example of this strain down at Ocean (9€ p/g).

This coffeeshop continues to impress. Excellent manicured, well presented buds, real bargain at these prices. Overall, I think I prefered the SSH to the wicked Amnesia I got from there last week - not so much zombification with this one!

the 'silver haze' from coffeeshop little is awesome imo. mellow yellow which is next door to little had some of the best super silver haze in dam in recent years, but the silver haze from little is as good if not better.
