Maastricht Netherlands

Post by Alaskan Biker »

I think this article needs a little more exposure concerning Maastricht you guys see what you can make of all this I certainly hope a step in the wrong direction is not in the making.

Remember there will be big money from Industrial Families and willing politicians working for them.....

The end of 1990 we all thought it could never happen here in Alaska Cannabis had been decriminalized since the mid 70's we could posse a 1/4lb per adult in our homes but they caught us all sleeping because we were so sure and certain that it could never happen here.....well it did we lost by around 10,000 votes and it took us 12 long hard years to get it back.

I urge the people of the Netherlands to investigate this matter and discover what is going on one step in the wrong direction will almost certainly lead to another and before it is over ..... :?:

I remember when the Alaskan thing happened in the 70s ...It was like I hope their Domino theory of things is right ....yeah right... but at least there was ONE place in the "land of the Free" ...where one sorta was ...anyway ,heres a link I found on the subject in NL... not sure why a South Carolina Newspaper is running it ...titled: Dutch take sober look at Marijuana Laws

Well, on the plus side The Netherlands is moving one step closer to legalization by having regulated marijuana farming.

Another look at things from these folks.

I'd have to see Maastricht myself to really determine if there is a problem from my perspective. Maybe things are getting out of control. I can believe that in a border town. Maybe it's BS like Reefer Madness.

Anyway, regulated pot farming I think is mostly a good thing. It would take the "crime" out of bud growing and indeed would make it a pointless venture for organized groups to compete with the government.

On the down side, regulated growing means conservatives will have a means to control how potent the produce is.
My thoughts are free.

Oh believe me I am all in favor of the farming proposal :D :!: :D :!:

I am just concerned with the ones that want to ban foreigners from the shops in Maastricht and the possible legal precedent this could set and what others would then do with that

Indeed. Banning foreigners from the shops in Maastricht would be a sign that The Netherlands is turning inwards. Banning something does not mean demand will be reduced so perhaps the very thing they want to stop -crime- may actually increase to meet the demand from neighboring buyers.

I believe Amsterdam is safe from such a ban because Amsterdam is a very safe city despite the reputation of being wild. Coffee Shops actually create order by providing outlets you can monitor. Unfortunately, Politics never seem to have a problem with using a group as scapegoat in order to gain power.
