Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory Forums

Hey all, Im a noob to Dam and travelling solo in a few days. Im staying at the Bulldog hostel, (next to bulldog energy coffee shop) What coffee shops near buy to people recomend?, I havnt heard the best things about the bulldog, so that might be a case of a place for a final J before stumbling to my room.
If anybody knows of any good shops in the area please let me know.
P.s what would you recommend as a good daytime smoke, Not something that will couch lock me !!

You will find quite a few CS which are not to far from where you are staying. Use the maps from this site as flybynite said and you cant go wrong. A popular place at the mo on this site is the green place which is not too far and the Greenhouse is very close aswell.

We stayed at the bulldog hostel half a year ago. its a great thing, the breakfast is good, the hotel is quite and the bulldog-coffeeshop has friendly people working there. We didnt buy any of their weedas they only had the usual strains like White Widow and Skunk, still very good prices at around 5-8€, but I cant say a thing about the quality of their weed. We sat down one night there for an hour or something and the people who are working there, were very friendly with us, the drinks are priced fair as well. If you dont want to risk buying bad weed, then get some weed elsewhere and sit down there, have a look at the red-light-district and a nice juice

For Coffeeshops near you, there is the Greenhouse, which has quality weed, but is a bit overpriced in my opinion (at least when it comes to the hazes, which arent too special). Dampkring also isnt too far away and Mellow Yellow is only 1 or 2 Tram stations away.

I have never been in that Hostel, but I think it's an interesting experience. Although I don't like the Bulldog coffeeshops too much. They are too loud and overcrowded.
In any case you will be suprised how many coffeeshops there are in that area...
