Germany is planning to construct a bicycle path which stretches from the Dutch to the Polish border.

THE NETHERLANDS -- Germany has unveiled plans for the construction of a bicycle path stretching from the Polish to the Dutch border. The ambitious project will take some three years to complete at a cost of EUR 900,000.

The cycle path, which will run through five of Germany's states, will be 915 kilometres long. The country already has long-distance bike routes totalling more than 12,000 kilometres.

am I being dumb, but don't they have trains and aeroplanes already on that route? If I want to visit poland from dam, I think a 1 hour flight would be more convenient than over 900km of cycling
