Has any one ever done this...? im thinking the train under the channle then on the euro express through france then belgium into germany and finally to amsterdam... is this possible.. isit easy enough todo.. isit cheaper than going by plane...? :P

I looked into doing this before but from glasgow and there was no comparison between flight and train, the flight won hands down. :shock:

I've done this trip once, but from London. It can all be booked through Eurostar.com. The Eurostar will take you under the channel and to Brussells. From Brussells you take the high speed Thayls train straight to Amsterdam Centraal.

Have a look at seat61.com aswell. that will help you
