reading 2 books at the moment, swapping between the two, one for lunch breaks and the other for the evenings on the sofa.

Samuel pepys diaries, and 'a journal of the plague year' by daniel defoe.

Both are written in early modern english, so are quite hard to follow if your tired or stoned. Gonna be be an accomplishment just to make it through them. Facinating books though. Really enjoying them.

Have just started The Amber Spyglass,.... 3rd installment of Phillip Pullman's "His Dark Materials".
Give it a try if you like fantasy, its kept my interest which is strange considering my concentration span of a nat. A real shame "The Golden Compass" film will not be continued.

Just started The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy.

Just abandoned Atrocity Exhibition by JG Ballard - couldn't get on with it.
(A bit like Naked Lunch but without the excuse of too many hard drugs).

Just finnished reading The grand design by Stephen Hawking and now im reading Food of the gods by Mc´kenna

Grand Design was very very intresting for anyone with questions on how this universe really works.

Food of the gods is a book about a theory on human evolution thru psychadelic drugs. How the planet went from rainforest to plain land and forced apes to come down from trees in search of new types of food to eat. they discovered the shroom and thousands of years later, im typing this. From what i´ve heard and to where im at its a good book and a pretty mindbloing theory he represents.

Picked it up on Greenwich market. Second hand, two for a fiver, he had a lot of hard to
find classics (also got Moll Flanders).

So far so good - very rich and complex language, not unlike Dickens.
