they are acting like we are some kind of USA, where all states have to be treated the same even if single countries dont even want that.......sucks hard.

That doesn't explain very much. Is Europe overall growing more conservative?

That explains everything. The EU wants every country that belongs to the EU to sign a contract which contains many rules that would come into effect, but only if every member of the EU would sign the contract. This was about to happen like a year ago, but the people were not asked, the politicians did it on their own (like they did with the €). The only country where the people could decide was IReland and they voted for a clear "no", which I am very happy for. There are a lot of good rules, but sooner or later countries like the netherlands and spain will have to stop their liberal drug policies as I dont think the EU would tolerate that......its like the UN, just not as big, but with the same goals.

But Ireland are being hassled into holding another referendum...Watch out for that next year... :evil:
