Won't happen with this President because it won't happen with this Congress. Too many "vanilla" Americans still exist, you know, the Ozzie's and Harriet's. A Republican Congress will NEVER legalize cannabis. Their masters aren't able to monopolize and control the market, ie... massive profits. A sad reality.

...and before anyone starts with how the President advised the Justice Dept. to back-off cannabis in MMJ States, all one has to do is look for themselves. I propose that President Obama's stance on Cannabis isn't quite what some people think it is. Do your own research, as I have done, and one will discover that arrests and convictions still occur, contrary to what some STILL believe. FYI, the arrests and convictions I am referring to involve people who otherwise are within their legal right to grow, posses, manufacture, etc... and not those who are in violation of State Law.

Let's see what the people in Washington State do later this year. Will a measure legalizing cannabis make the ballot? If so, will the voters pass the measure(s)? My prediction is that the measure will make the ballot but will not pass in the general vote. One sad reality, as displayed by the voters in Humboldt Co., CA - many pro-cannabis people oppose these measure because it will mean a decrease or loss of revenue. Another sad reality.

if they lecalize weed.... a lot of oil company`s will slowly stop making big money... because you can make a lot of oil and petrop out of weed..... why you think they want to keep it like that ?

maybe it will take us another 20, 30 or 50 years, but believe me, the people will win in the end....there is no way the rich people can win over 4billion people

we just have to trust and spread the word, spread the word about how wonderfull cannabis is, what its benefits are and we will see the day it happens......there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Um, the strain of cannabis that is used oils, fibers, ect... is not illegal. In Nebraska they have fields of cannabis, not the smoking kind. Others refer to this type as ditch weed.

Look more towards the cotton industry...

No he will not.
Too much money in it for the Pharmaceuticals of which the smallest is still worth billions, so no it will not become legal on the federal level for many years..
Good news is on a state level in Colorado and California both its basically legal, if caught you get the equilvant of a parking ticket
