So today I raced down to boerenjongens on my bike while my laundry was on (as I normally do).

Hadn't been here for a while, finally the construction on the road is finished!

They have a sign in handwriting written above the counter saying something like "Out of White Choco, we have other good stuff"

I looked at their weed menu. Wow, this has changed since I was last here. Compared to 6 months ago I would say there are only 2 or 3 strains out of 10 still there. Some really tasty strains now, I think they have all pretty much been mentioned here in last few weeks.

Anyway, I had only 5 Euro on me and on a bit of a budget so decided to buy their cheap €5 Moroccon hash, besides I'm getting back into my hashes (despite my name). Hafi? or something like that. An Arabic name, I forget.

It's not soft at all. It's that kind of powdery hash that is pressed together. I'm not expecting much from it but I'll find out soon enough, just need to finish rolling this joint....

Now that's what I'm talking about. Nice shot of the menu, baked. Just look at that menu almost make a toker jizz in his pants!

Just going through your posts fro today, peeped the Club Media menu too, cannot wait until I visit in September, all the de Pijp shops plus Bij & Boerejongens are on the list.

went to this shop nearly every day from 16-20th august and cannot really explain in words how good this shop is. first time i went in skinny black guy was budtender and he was a cool guy who knew his buds.Told him i walked down the overtoom not realising how long it actually was and that i was fucked,had a little giggle and gave me a bottle of water on the house,hadnt even bought anything yet!!!!

showed me anything i wanted to see and had a little chat about each strain and how crazy the prices are compared to to the centrum.

had a few things from here and bij

amnesia haze - perfection
lovepotion - tasty grapefuit diesely goodness
cheese x ssh - stinky stinky cheese very very tasty
mango haze - last little scraps but gave me discount very stong clear high
g13 x amnesia - very nice leans more on the amnesia side if i remenber
jungle haze - very good for the price

bij lemon haze - not the best but still very good for the price
amnesia xl - very nice haze

all in all i can honestly say i did'nt get one bad bud from these shops and the budtenders especially the black guy were all cool with me rooting through the menu and to top it off the prices are ridiculous for the quality.One of mytop 3 shops in dam!!!!!!!!!!!!!

back home now cheesed out on the sshxcheese lovely smoke

I was there in 2008 for the 20th cup and they were great. Gave us a complimentary pice of apple pie and staff were real nice. After the tobacco ban I went back the place had changed to a fly and buy still good gear but such a long walk with no rest.

Hey Big Bob how's it going? I'm fine now but unemployed I was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had an operation after my 2010 Q-Day trip. They told me they got it all we'll see. Yah that was some good pie I went back for more. I've been going back for Q-Day every year hanging with the tye dye pigs all from the Hip Forum. I think I'm on trip 11 now. Have you been back yet?

I spotted an off-menu item here today Master Kush (8p/g).

Unfortunately the young Bud tender was being a bit sarcastic about it and served me a very light looking gram.

Granted, I could be wrong, the nugs are unusually dense and I don't have a scale at home to check, but it's a worrying development as I've already heard talk of light bags being served here to tourists.

I hope the Kush is fucking good to make up for it! Just firing up the Iolite now to check.

Plenty of other places in Amsterdam to buy weed, so I might have to start looking around. Pity tho as I do like coming here and have enjoyed their weed for many years

b'jongens do short bags, fact. However I think it's simply a case of individual tenders being greedy, nothing more high-level than that.

I honestly belive a couple of the budtenders (and ill name and shame the built skinhead guy) actually think tourists are a hassle to deal with, and slow the locals down.

Maybe an email to the owners (bg groep) would do some good... I would be happy to do some mystery shopping¬

Unless you weigh it, how does anyone here know they were given less bud than they asked for?

btw no harm in speaking Dutch either, I do. If it helps to not get ripped off then may be worth it.

.7s are common from this shop mate, theres been a lot of talk about this recently, and people have weighed it - kermit for one.

Talking in dutch definately helps, I agree. However, the main reason I would reccomend this shop is their price/quality ratio - however that all goes out of the window....

i.e 1g of white russian - 7.50 euro. Nice deal.
.7 of white russon - 7.50 eur. Over 10eur per gram. Rip-off.
