hi everybody my name is doctor nick! only kidding just could not resist popped into my head in my current state . am in the dam in a couple of weeks have a few new ones to try mainly thanks to this site,willdo my best to get to them .stay gold peace out

i will be in town from 15th to 17th.i do go over a couple of times a year and have done for about the last six years. i would like to stay away from the tourist route can you recommend some shops

Have a great trip.

The farther from Centrum you get, the less touristy the shops. I would suggest the 15 - 20 minute train ride to Haarlem. Or be brave and take the half hour train ride to Utrecht.

Yeah the Centrum is touristy but if you get inside the 420 De Kuil I think the ambiance or gezellig counters that - it's a warm wooden bar with great music. So if you're stuck in the Centrum for awhile and want a break from the shite try this.

cheers ,have found this forum v informative,have wasted a load of time mainly from being stoned fully intend to get to know the real holland from here on out
