Editing your profile

Just wondering what the correct way is to enter your information for messenger programs such as Yahoo, AOL, MSN.

Do you enter the e-mail address/user name that you use to access the messenger program?

All advice gratefully received.

AFIAK MSN will require whole email addy, all the others work off the username you signed up with. ICQ will of course need your ICQ number...if you have one.
