Thought it might be something like that and I'm more than prepared to pay that sort of price.
From what I hear, it is a top top smoke for couchlock (nice one Mazdog) and there is no preparation involved. It's ready to roll when you are.
Sounds absolutely amazing and at this point there's still six weeks to go before I'm back so if anyone else has fond memories of Stix Gunpowder then feel free to whet my appetite even further on this thread.
You can't roll gunpowder. Not by itself anyhows. I tried the first night I was there. The trichs just melt and fuse and the joint becomes impossible to drag on. But it looked real good up until I smoked it.
I dunno, I don't smoke tobacco with my herb. When I mixed it with herb I remember needing two parts grass to one part powder or else it gummed up and canoed too much.
I would have to substitute the herb for tobacco. Boner posted a pic of an unrolled Rizla paper with a mix of herb and gunpowder and I nearly whited out just looking at it.
Looks like I need a second opinion on the tobacco issue. Gonna have to PM a few of the guys I've heard from and hope for the best.
Plan B is to buy 5g of Umma Gumma from Pink Floyd.
You can just buy a E5 glass pipe and smoke it out of that. This way you can smoke a little at a time. Best bet is take a few hits and wait a few minutes. If you still feel good smoke a little more. Repeat as needed. This way you don't have to worry about whiteys.
you should have no prob mixing Gunpowder with tobacco or any other herb you might wanna smoke. JUst don't get to heavy handed with it, cause it will make it difficult to pull if you put too much in there.
Yeah I know it's really powerful stuff. If I'm gonna do a big one then it will be in the comfort of my hotel room.
I'm kinda restricted at the moment to the size of the joints I can roll cos I use a machine and I've heard that with GP or GMC you have to get the mixture right or else the crystals just melt together and basically kill the joint.
Got a larger cone-rolling machine on the way for my trip but I definitely won't be going overboard. I'll be on my own and that means a bit more responsible behavior.
I'll see if I can get a pre rolled Gunpowder/Tobacco joint before I go ahead with my main purchase. That will give me a good indication of how the rest of the week will go if I'm smoking the same gear in my own joints.
This gear was € 12.50 a gram a couple of months ago. If I remember right a 5 gram purchase was € 57.50 or a euro less a gram.
I ended up pressing it into a firm ball then breaking off bits to smoke in a pipe. Just seemed more manageable this way and less ended up stuck to my fingers.
Kind of sleeper gear for me, it kicks in 10 minutes or so after smoking it. Really, I think this gear is one of the best values in town and was exceptionally clean.
I wish more shops offered unpressed Neder hash. I prefer it over the twice as expensive ice hash. They are both just trichomes basically.
Yeah, definitely won't be going after any ice/jelly/ hash. Way out of my price range and probably way too potent for me.
Gunpowder could also be a problem for being too potent but it's something I simply have to try while I'm in Amsterdam although may be better to stay away from the big 5g purchase if it's as strong as everyone says it is.
The hotel I'll be staying at is right in the Rembrandtplein and there is usually a lot of noise outside (clubbers and pubbers) till early hours.
Think a smaller GP purchase for those all important bed time joints is more likely. Plenty of cheap 5g deals around that will get me a lot more stoned than the soap bar I'm used to smoking at home.
I never tried to smoke it by itself, actually I saw it as that little extra which complimented whatever it was added to. Although I smoked it mostly with weeds that had an upper effect, I found that it was more of a head high than something which put me to sleep.
My preference for Gunpowder isn't to smoke it however. It makes a heavenly hot chocolate (although some might consider it a bit expensive for that purpose) which I found one of the most pleasant highs I have ever had. Absolutely killer with a shot of Bailey's, particularly on a cold wet Amsterdam day.
