the convent(former sofitel)
booked up 2 stay in the convent (former sofitel) thanks 2 glesgatoker on recomending it, has any 1 stayed here before ???
not sure if there the same chain of hotels.. i would assume they are judging by the name... but i stayed at the grand sofitel demeure or however its spelled.. was an insane hotel with great customer service... so hopefully they are the same chain and you get some of that great customer service
' Smoke em if you got em '
super nice hotel...stayed there twice.
on the 2nd visit my notes show that i had a room near a "service elevator" that ran all night for room service so you might check and see if this chain still offers that
otherwise i think you'll enjoy it just do not go next door to the Grasshopper

Donkey smell.
HGF is close to your hotel I think. As are De Kuil (420), Amnesia and Grey Area. It will be easy to get from the station to your hotel. I regret not visiting HGF on my last visit. I've long given up on writing "to visit" lists, but wish I had for my last trip. I forgot about some shops to visit and strains to try. HGF will close soon I think. People are raving about their Cheese.
Dunno exactly when they close, saw a post somewhere. Too lazy to search, sorry
I wouldn't bother with Grasshopper, though don't take my word, 'cuz I've never been. I stayed in this part of town on my first visit in 2000. I like it. I was there almost two weeks, but don't remember much
I remember hitting up some fun bars heading south towards Spui, where Dampkring is. I remember starting everyday off at Greenhouse Centrum, mostly 'cuz my buddy drank bier for breakfast and he liked their bier. You'll have plenty to keep you busy right were you are staying. I remember a great music store, I think it was by Prix D'Ami. Have fun.
