Resin is a nice shop.

i only say that about Grasshopper based on their rip-off prices back when the guilder was still around so i only assume it's the same situation now but could be wrong.

still, all of those shops geoffk and boner mentioned are well worth checking out...nice beans at HGF "other shop"...Homegrown Fantaseeds.

Can anyone shed any light on the smoking policy at the convent ie is it possible to crack a window and smoke a pipe out the window as I would bet it is strictly non-smoking. think Mrs Pipe and i will be staying there for 3 nights on the 14th of december. :D

I think I last stayed there 5 years ago, they used be cool if you were discreet, but then the hotel started putting anti-weed leaflets in the rooms eg: you smoke in here we will throw you out. That is when they lost my custom and I started booking smoker friendly apartments :)

I have stayed at The Convent 3 times this year, my advice would be do not smoke in your room, as we were told we would be fined 150 euro and removed from the premises (and not refunded).
Its a nice hotel, not great but very comfortable and clean.
I got an upgrade to the deluxe suite for an extra 30euros a night in June, worth the money IMO, only 2 suites to a floor so its much quieter, they also have a seperate lift for these rooms, kind of makes you feel special!
