This is the only one i can think of aswell. Or you could park in De kolk and walk down to the one by Magna plaza and have a smoke at Homegrown Fantasy on the way there and back

Not 100% sure but I think there's one by the nieumarket metro station.

Edit: Google map it, put nieumarket amsterdam into the map search then use the search nearby function and type Albert Heijn into that and you'll see exactly where they are.

Edit 2: Clicky for Google maps link!

I have shopped there a couple of times across from the Neuimarket station. They really do need to get a massive supermarket whacked in somewhere though. I know there is another one down a main street further new Waterlooplein but I cant think what the street is called.

Albert Heijn is your best bet in the center. There are better and cheaper supermarkets (Vomar, Dirk van den Broek, Lidl) but they aren't as wide spread and not really present in the center.

Bellow is a link to a google map with all the Albert Heijn in the center, lots of them !

watch out for a the AH to go shops, these all smaller and only sell things like sandwiches and prices are more expensive than the normal sized stores.

Also ask for a AH bonus card when you go in, you don't need to give any details to get one and it gives you money off items marked "bonus", without it you don't get the money off. Also most beer bottles can be recycled at the supermarkets, it depends on the bottle, but a 1.5L of coke will fetch 0.25c( you are charged for the bottle, it does not say on the shelf though) and a beer normally gets around 0.10c , look for the word statiegeld on the back of the bottle!!!

Cheers for that. I was wondering why I didn't get the marked bonus on something that I'd bought, but thought that as an ignorant furriner I must have overlooked something. Who does one ask?

just goto the cigi counter when you go in, just say you just moved here and you would like a bonus card, can't believe you did not know this! It seems like you almost do live here!
