for those interested in Organics, AH do have an organic line on some products. There are also two Bio type supermarkets called ekoplaza(several stores round the city) and Marqt, i think there are only 3 or 4 of these, they only take card though, no cash at all.

Albert Heine do the most superb chocolate / caramel biscuits - perfect for those "munchy" moments - wish I had bought more. A 4 pack goes down a real treat .....

There is a Albert Heijn to go at the station .
These are bloody expensive .
There is a HUGE Albert Heijn 100metres behind the Dam .

Tompuss (that may not be how its spelt) Appelflappen and chocolaade brootjes are fucking lovely, specially if yo have jam on the brootjes.
Most days I have something desert like for breakfast. The only reason its not made me fat is I cycle everywhere. Not a massive fan of stampot, but the Dutch know how to make sweet things. Be prepared to spend a lot on pastries
