try the carmello at amnesia or barnies

or the life specal at coffeeshop Life in beverwijk

both blond morroc
I will need to add at least a couple of grams of Umma Gumma to my shopping list and Barneys is along the way so some Caramello could also come in.

Don't know if I'll be at Amnesia but I definitely won't be going outside of Amsterdam for my smokes so the Life Special is pretty much out of the question.

Thanks for the advice Dave

Well I've got seven nights and a new pair of walking boots so I'm sure i'll come across it. Most likely on my way back from Floyds one day.

Thanks again Dave

Yeah thanks man. I'll go for the Caramello and hopefully it will be in stock when I visit. I'm more of a hash smoker here in the UK. Weed is very very rare indeed and I've got a few strains from other shops lined up to sample on my trip. It would be nice to have some good solid to mix in with it.

My list at the moment looks like Umma Gumma (Pink Floyd) Caramello (Amnesia) Gunpowder (Stix) Moonshine (Dampkring) Cherry Bomb (Nes or Grey Area) Star Dust (Central) NYC Diesel (De Kuil)

These are the ones I've seen with the most recent recommendations from other members so I'm sure they will all work just as well for me.

I might change my mind on the Moonshine as it does cost 27 Euros for one gram. I am thinking to save this one for the last day when I have a pocket full of coins that I need to get rid of and it will also guarantee that I get a good rest ahead of my flight home the next morning.

:D 10 days to go :D

The Moonshine is overhyped. It definately isn't worth E27 a gram. At all. My buddy kept buying 2-3 grams of it a day last time we went, and I still can't figure out why. It wasn't better tasting than any of the other hashes, and it sure as heck wasn't more powerful than the other hashes. Shrug. So much good stuff in Amsterdam that wasting your money on Dutch Moonshine just doesn't seem worth it.

Thanks Styg. I was secretly hoping that someone would come along and say exectly what you've said. The 27 Euros really does seem quite steep for something that probably won't make it into two joints.

I had a previous recommendation about Mellow Haze from Mellow Yellow at the same price for 5g and that shop is close to the Heineken Brewery which I plan to visit during my trip.

All the others on my list are pretty much definites.

Thanks again

Doog if you want something special go for the water hash from Katsu's kick fucking ass hash mate, the Nes do a couple of Ices that are normally top quality for about €20 a gram!!

Will see how much is left on the last day and then decide but I'm sure 20 Euros isn't going to make that much of a difference at the foriegn exchange when I get back home so I'll see what the Nes has to offer on my way back to the hotel when I'm going to bed for the last time before heading home the next day.

Hopefully I'll have a few bits of the other stuff I plan to buy still kicking around and I can mix it all in with some tobacco to fatten it up (if required).

Sounds like a good idea for a photo, like the pic you showed me of the herb mixed with the Gunpowder.

Don't let your trip end without a visit to Amnesia Doog. That would be a real shame. I got there on day 3 of my trip (details to follow) and I can vouch for all the good comments on the forum.

I dont think you'll find a cleaner, friendlier CS... well you could and thats down to personal oppinion. I loved it there and will definately be going back there on my next visit. I will also stayfor a little longer next time too

PS:Volcano there too

Forgot to mention... the seats inside are probably THE most comfortable freestanding seats in any coffeeshop I went into on this visit. High back, leather(?) dining table style seats.

I want some of those.

Sounds like a great place to be, especially if you were to get there round about opening time and then you would have a better chance to park yourself on one of those high back leather dining table style seats.
