My mate had a long afternoon kip so I went to Dutch Flowers on my solitary 3.5 hour tour with paper in hand on a quiet Monday PM. The dealer was female so no experience of this wild-man everyone's bitching about - she was friendly enough. The place felt like it receives a local Dutch clientele. This coffeeshop kinda verging on brown-cafe style was my fave type - like Der Dampkring, Rusland et. al.

I sat down by the window with a coffee, soft drink and fat Thai spliff (2.80 euros) enjoying the comings and goings along the Singel canal. 40 minutes there and left for Rusland.

I have been in Dutch Flowers at least 10 times. I have never run into the "rude" employee that everyone seems to have encountered. I always tip when buying beer or weed/hash and they have never been the slightest bit rude/condesending toward me.

The view is unmatched, especially when the windows are open. For those who have had a bad experience...give it another try...and just to set the record straight, I don't own or work there!!

lol...axe..back in november he wouldnt step outside with me to discuss his attitude problem...just a friendly talkin to was all i wanted..his freinds fkd off too..kinda funny...he ignored us for 10 minutes then yelled"",yeah, what the f do you want!."".heheh..nope done there

I have been into D flowers on three seperate occasions. The last time i went in i was greeted by a guy with long hair and a bad attittude. the other two times i have been greeted by a blonde lady and a bald chap both v polite and hospitable.

The weed, esp the shiva is always top notch as is the charas.

This used to be my fav shop until i discovered Tweede kamer round the corner

Ok, this last trip to AMS I got up the courage to go into Dutch Flowers, being apprehensive about all the unpleasant reports. But, wait its not quite 11 am yet so the door is locked. Inside I see a tall bald guy who looks at me and - SMILES and raises his hand to signal "five minutes".

I go around the corner and slip into 2e Kamer - an hour goes by and I forget about Dutch Flowers. Oh well, next time in AMS I will try to make it into DF.

I went to DF and got a gram of silver haze, great stuff got me really high. bald guy and blonde girl thier both smiley and friendly. Not dark like lots of other shops too and meant we didn't squint when we went outside on a lovely June day.

Hmm... surprised a bit by the mixed reviews of this place. People seem quite down on the gear for a start, which I've actually always found quite good, but mainly bad comments are related to this one bloke who works there who's a prick. I've never encountered him and always found this cs alright the few times I've been in and always bought decent enough weed there. The first time actually I was utterly wrecked on my first trip to the 'dam and retrospectively I appreciate how patient they were with me - not a lot of places are like that. Must visit again this weekend for a good few hours if there an outside seat to really see get a better feel for the place.

I never encountered the negative dude, or any negative vibe, but I gave a negative vote because I got negative weed -- Hawaiian Haze, E11.50 for one gram, bone-dry and crumbly, the worst-looking expensive specimen I've ever gotten in A'dam.

Went once many years back. Can remember getting my bud in a funny little crappy wax type bag. The weed was shit and i felt i had been scammed so have never been back. Shame coz i loved the location and its a part of town i always hang around when visiting.
I will give it another try soon and see if it has improved.

I remember those waxed paper bags. I thought they were cool. They used them because the crystals on your bud would not stick to the inside of the bag; as they do with plastic. Not all of their weed selection was "shit". Yes, they had some lower quality weed but the real gem they had was Zenith; rock hard nugs and a terrific stone. They may still have it. I haven't been back there in at least a year.
They do have an excellent location and a terrific view if you can get the front table inside or a table outside. For me, I really like Dutch Flowers.
